The motion was seconded and passed by general consent. (For a copy of the association's confidential financial diagnostic of the Special Assessment - previously distributed to the full membership, association members should please inquire at the office. - editor) Adjournment - No further business. The meeting was adjourned at 11:15 a.m.Fern McBride I would like to begin by thanking the decorating committee, chaired by Nancy Seltzer, for the months of hard work and research that it has done to come up with final plans for updating the interior common elements of our building. As promised, we held a vote on the flooring options. Out of 135 responses, only 11 wanted to keep the old square marble. Therefore, the flooring will be replaced with modern Carrera tile. I really can’t believe the overwhelming number of responses that we received. That’s more than we get to vote on the reserves for our budget! As we know, it is impossible to please 203 different personalities. I hope we will now all embrace the changes. Some of you thought that we should wait. Why? When is a good time? We have put this off long enough. The elevators were last refurbished in 2001 and the hallways in 2006.
The emergency generator project is now complete and the cooling tower should be completed within the next couple of months. Research should begin sometime next year to see what needs to be done to the exterior of our building. Our building is 47 years old and we must maintain and update it so that the Regency Tower is a residence of which we can all be proud.
